The session focused on advancing integrated care models that combine clinical support, caregiver empowerment, and home-based interventions. Participants discussed strategies to bridge service gaps, enhance early detection, and train frontline caregivers to deliver empathetic, professional dementia care at home.

“Dementia care in India demands a multi-layered response — one that blends family support, professional caregiving, and public awareness,”
“We’ve seen how dignified home-based care, coupled with proper caregiver training, can significantly improve quality of life for both patients and families.”

Advancing Awareness and Training

In India, more than 8.8 million people are estimated to be living with dementia, a number expected to triple by 2050. The ARDSI roundtable underscored the urgent need to:

    • Strengthen community-based dementia programs.
    • Promote caregiver education and mental health support.
    • Develop standardized protocols for home-based and institutional care.
    • Increase public awareness to combat stigma and foster early intervention.

As a leading eldercare organization, Life Circle continues to advocate for professionalized dementia care, supporting families through caregiver training, care coordination, and home health services tailored for cognitive health.
