Priya Anant Appointed Subject Expert for Geriatric Care Curriculum at KKHSOU
Guwahati, July 2025 — Priya Anant, Co-founder and Chief Customer Officer of Life Circle Health Services, has been appointed as a Subject Expert on the Committee on Courses (CCS) for the Diploma in Geriatric Care Attendant at Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU).
This appointment — formally issued by the Office of the Dean (Academic) with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor — recognizes Priya’s expertise and Life Circle’s pioneering work in professionalizing eldercare and caregiver training in India.
KKHSOU Geriatric Care Committee - A Milestone for Geriatric Care Education in India
KKHSOU Geriatric Care Committee on Courses for the Diploma in Geriatric Care Attendant has been constituted with experts from healthcare and education, including:
- Priya Anant, Co-founder, Life Circle Health Services, New Delhi
- Dr. G. Mahesh, School of Social Work, IGNOU, New Delhi
- Pallabi Chetia Nath, Principal, NEF Nursing College, Assam
The CCS is tasked with finalizing and recommending the course structure, syllabus, and evaluation framework for the new Diploma in Geriatric Care Attendant, which will be certified under the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET).

Curriculum Designed for Practical, Skill-Based Learning
In alignment with NCVET’s competency standards, the program follows a 60% practical and 40% theoretical model. Students will gain hands-on experience through partnerships with hospitals, counselling centers, and old-age homes across Assam.
The course aims to:
- Equip learners with skills in geriatric care, nursing assistance, and psychosocial support.
- Strengthen understanding of elder welfare, communication, and emergency management.
- Develop career-ready caregivers who can serve in home healthcare, senior living facilities, and rehabilitation centers.
Priya’s participation ensures that the curriculum integrates industry-aligned caregiving standards and best practices from Life Circle’s national network of trained caregivers.
