Empowering Young Women through Digital Mentorship
The National Digital Mentorship Programme, led by UN Women India under the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) platform, brings together senior professionals from over 40 WEPs signatories to mentor young women entering technical and service sectors.
Through Compass@EquiLearn, UN Women’s digital learning platform, the programme connects women students from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and technical colleges to industry mentors for guidance, networking, and access to internships and employment pathways.
Driving Gender-Inclusive Skills and Careers
This initiative builds on UN Women’s ongoing efforts to promote systemic change through the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) — a joint initiative of UN Women and UN Global Compact. The programme integrates:
- Digital mentorship via Compass@EquiLearn, linking young women from underserved regions with corporate leaders.
- Collaborative engagement across corporates, civil society, and policymakers.
